Day 3 of the great 'You have to play the game my way or you can't play in my sandpit ner ner' week and I see it has created the biggest them and us type divide on the boards since the great malicious code scandal aka malwaregate.
Congratulations. 😐

catsback, I don't consider you one of 'them'.....'they', have a very long history of overbearing this place and dividing people
I too enjoy a lively political debate, but the name calling leaves me cold....how about you?....don't we see enough of that from our so called leaders?
btw, I don't have anyone on ignore...I can ignore droning without an ignore button = no interest in it....I've found that if you engage 'them' in debate, you end up 'disappeared'...so no thanks.
I have been personally belittled because of my political opinion... three people here have made it very personal... name calling and snide comments have made me uncomfortable...
then you have the people that come in and may not say it to your face but applaud the person that did it.
if you think it is only the Conservatives that name call you are totally wrong.

Kilroy I don't think you have done anything to antagonise the situation, , those posters have chosen to do this on their own accord.
pity ebay mods were not looking at some of the threads that have been posted.

I'm not saying that catsback, but have I belittled you over your political view?
I'm happy to debate and discuss politics, but I tend to steer clear of the political threads on this forum because they all end up the same.
by comparison......We (my local community)...are having a discussion on a local news site right now, between red and blue, and we're not name calling, we're weighing up...i.e. looking at the BS on both sides and asking what we want for our LOCAL region by comparison.
It's great to engage in those kinds of discussions because I reckon it's not a matter of red vs blue vs green....I think we need a bit of each. e.e. good economic management WITH social conscience and environmental sustainability

I have nothing against political debate cat , but we don't have that here, here we have to engrained sides engaged in trench warfare with neither side gaining or loosing ground, while the general population is forced to flee or be consumed
Agree with that.
I am not a Labor supporter (nor are others on here) but we constantly get referred to as Labor Luvvies and worse. Who started that hmm?
Of course it has been going on for months. It was ramped up for the (long) lead up to the election.

I try and stay out of any political debates.. I have no idea about anything to do with politics other than what I read on the news.. I have no real interest in politics so I try not to comment on any politically themed threads...

I agree cats, If they don't want to read posts why do they come on & start a war & all the others jump in to attack.
The utterly disgraceful thread started to freeze out certain posters the luvvies don't like totally proves my point. I post stuff of a political nature & it either gets ignored or attacked., either way I don't care, but I am entitled to post on here like everybody else.

I disagree with you pepe.
The boards have been more interesting. And people seem to be more relaxed. I've even noticed one of the "them" (or is it an "us" has ventured onto other thread topics and been more civilised.
And cats back - I also disagree with you. Very few people (whether they agree with your politics or not) put you in the same category as those that spam and who seem to write nothing but repetitive vitriol.
Personally I am always happy to debate politics with you - just not this week. The problem is that it's not possible to continue any of YOUR discussions once the spammers hit your threads with their stupid Pickering cartoons and personal attacks. I am sure that even you can appreciate this even though I understand you won't want to seem to be agreeing.

oh please...I think I hear the worlds tiniest violin playing...must go check for pixies in the garden....and that must be my 'cue' to leave this thread..
