After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Freddie, so pleased you had a win with the RE - and a great voucher too! Wonder where you might choose to go??
And fingers crossed that you now get a win from CC as well.
Thanks for the tips re the message bank - I checked our phone and YES Telstra have done it to us as well
I simply can't cope with talking to telstra's "help" since they nearly caused me to have a nervous breakdown with all the stuff ups in converting to NBN,,, so OH will have to get onto that for me.
Love reading about everyone's activities!

Bushie your newly opened rose looks like Lolita. Strong smelling and turns pink as the petals "age"? Beautiful.
B3 I am in love with your Apricot Dream rose.
Yep, Lyndal you're the first one here this morning. The kettle on? Anything of interest on your agenda today?

Nothing pressing on today but if the weather forecast is to be believed and we are going to get 35 degrees I will be doing the obligatory tidy up now that OH has gone for the day, cranking up the airconditioner to full blast and settling in my easy chair for the day.
I ain't budging!!!

We bought him a bird bath and bird feeder for outside his window, he loves to watch the birds 🙂
That was very thoughtful of you in getting the birds closer for him to watch.
Observing nature is spiritual in a way. My dad loved watching the birds and fish whilst in contemplation. And preferred animals to the "madness of Mankind", as he put it.
Music too brought peace too to him. Dad loved the classics, but a little bit of toe tapping music appeared to lighten the day.

Nothing too pressing here either. Just noticed the wonga pigeons gorging themselves on the red berries of the palms for breakfast.
I must put out a pretty green slice of something for the rat that I observed collecting the dropped fruit and whisking them away to his nest the otherside of the fence. Eeeeeekkk.
Honestly, palm trees have got to be the biggest nuisance plant in a suburban garden. When they are mature they look like telegraph poles, their huge heavy dried up fronds drop and crush anything planted under them, then are hard to dispose. The pigeons eat the berries and then sit in the gum tree and drop "their bombs", and the fruit bats shriek through the night whilst dining, and now rats!

Oh punch 😞 I am so sorry to hear about Max. Not sure any words can help ease your pain. 💜 Are K and T keeping in touch regarding him? Probably not if they are true to form 😞
Warm morning already here, off later to buy a shade sail for the bunnies. Although they free range during the day their hutches could do with a little extra shade to help keep them cooler.

Morning all, wow Lyndal you got kicked out of bed early this morning
B3 The voucher is to the Sicilian we have been there before and enjoyed our meal so after the reno's are finished we will try it out again.
Well day 3 of the bathroom/toilet reno and i'm beginning to feel a bit like let's get this finished, but as I stand and look in the door of the bathroom and toilet I still see one big mess. The shower screen is expected to be here today, so hopefully I will be more excited about this at the end of today's BLOOD BATH and the 'oh no' moments.

Freddie, my OH gets up at 5am every weekday and is gone by 5.30....gets home after 8pm at night.
It is a long day, especially if it is too hot to do much here, hence my presence on the boards at all hours.
