My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Hi Bushie ๐Ÿ™‚

Tonight will be having smoked salmon on ciabatta, with a gin and tonic (fresh lime). Too hot today for roasting anything.

Will be watching Sherlock series 3

Re: My day

Sounds yum Amber ๐Ÿ™‚ I hate cooking when it's hot, BBQ chook here courtesy of WW plus a few salads, too tired to face the kitchen tonight.

Re: My day

Yes very pretty ๐Ÿ™‚

It was only about 29 today, but humid and that's no fun. 23 inside no aircon.

Re: My day

lol with another trampoline.  I think I'll decline on the celery stick.

Went shopping with my dil this morning and bought nothing.  Had some salad and a pear for lunch then walked into town.  Tomorrow we have the land line reconnected so we can put broadband on instead of wireless (don't understand it all very much).

Lyndal, back there you said you can have the tv on in the bedroom and it doesn't disturb your OH - my OH is the same.  I don't think he'd wake up if a bomb went off.

How's the reno tonight freddie?  I love your tiles as well and am sure it will all look lovely.  Pity with the price rise but it will all be worth it.

You must have had a busy time in town bushie.  Did you buy anything exciting?

This is a photo of the garden bed I bought Frank for his birthday.  It's not that big but he's managed to fit a fair but in it.  There is silver beet, carrots, lots of beans, leeks, snow peas and a row of parsnips just coming up.  There's zucchinis on the right and potatoes on the left in the actual garden.  He's got tomatoes and lettuce in the green house and corn out in another garden bed amongst more potatoes and the strawberries.

Re: My day

That looks great.

We had the fence replaced a couple of years ago, the guys were Italians who grew grapes to make their own wine. The boss was running soil through his hands very enviously...great for tomatoes he said ๐Ÿ™‚

I should think about some vegies and herbs. Kindof betwixt and between homes at the moment though.

Re: My day

Whoops - lots of posts while I was compiling.

Your dinner sounds very nice Amber - Frank had steak, chats and vegies.  I had grilled tomatoes cos I love them!

Those sweet peas look beautiful bushie - they are one of my favourite flowers.

Re: My day

Wow Sandy, that looks great, all neat and tidy and everything is thriving, well done Mr Sandy ๐Ÿ™‚ I am looking at building a largish raised one up the back. Checked out the timber for it today, size was right, price was right BUT it was treated pine and I wanted hardwood which Mitre 10 dont sell ๐Ÿ˜ž

High spot of the day was seeing my Podiatrist, always feel good afterwards. The rest of the day was spent trying to buy bit 'n pieces, in sizes they don't make, colours they dont stock, etc etc eg. I wanted to buy 12 metres of sight wire and it only comes in 100 metre rolls. Cup hooks that come in bags of 6 and I want 20, I sure others know the feeling lol

Re: My day

Yep, feeling your pain right now.

Always the wrong multiples so end up with odd bits in jars after any project ๐Ÿ™‚

We have lengths of wire mesh too, cut-offs sitting in a wheelbarrow.
