Re: My day

Good  morning everyone.  Going to be 19 here today with a possible shower.  Lots of rain yesterday which will do the garden good.  We are picking lettuce and we have 1 zucchini nearly ready - I don't like them to get very big.

Good to see you had a win freddie.  Once the tiles go in, the bathroom will start to look good.  How's Mr freddie seem?

So pleased I don't get migraines B3 - I have a friend who suffers badly.

Bushie, I always think the seaside daisy is a good plant to fill in the bare patches amongst the roses - and looks good as well.  Can't understand why a photo of a garden bed would be taken down??

lol at the "look dejected and shed some tears" Deb.  Did't have to worry - she loved it and looked as if she did as well.  I was so relieved as I would have redone them if she wasn't happy.  Just my insecurities and doubt showing through.

Hi to anyone else I've missed - I can't always remember what I've read Smiley Frustrated.

Other than the bride being happy, I had one other bit of good news.  My pap smear came back normal for the 3rd time.  Previously I have had some abnormal results, one that put me in hospital for an exploratory test where they accidently lacerated my bowel and didn't realise it resulting in me going into septic shock and being in hospital for 13 weeks instead of the day procedure I went for.

Enjoy your day everyone - we have the 19mo grandaughter this morning so best move.

Re: My day

Morning all, Sandy Mr F seems to be a lot better I think it may have been a combination of the hot weather and the dust causing the coughing, the back pain i'm thinking was possibly a muscle he insists on lifting things on his own instead of calling me to help grrrrr.

We had a storm yesterday some lovely rain to settle the dust, would have been nice if it continued for a couple of days.

Well I hope today we see tiles, i'm getting sick of looking at concrete and dust.

Sandy, my goodness how terrible for you. I had the same abnormal results CIN3 13yrs ago cone biopsy and removal of the suspect area with no further issues. Tomorrow I have my 2yr post breast cancer mammogram and ultrasound *crosses fingers*.

I want to take out the fly screens and security screens in the toilet and bathroom before the Builder gets here today so I can get them cleaned and back in before he starts the tiling .

Better move, have a great day everyone.

Re: My day

Good morning

Cool and damp here atm, looks like the rain headed over your way Sandy. Great news re your pap smear, especially after what happened before :(. Iam sure the cake looks lovely, I think we are all guilty of being our own worst critics, I know I am when it comes to anything I do for someone else. I am going to leave the garden as it is for now, take some pic so I can remember which colour roses are where, then do some shifting around when they are dormant and plants so other bits and pieces at the same time.

Good morning Freddie, hope it goes smoothly for you today, pleased Mr F is feeling better, 🙂

I quite liked yesterday's weather Sandy, warmish and thundery. We have a cat who has panic attacks whenever there's thunder and his 'safe" spot is under my daughters bed. He spent a good deal of  the day there yesterday

I still haven't caught up on reading back here and probably won't be able to today either.

hope your bathroom reno is coming along OK Freddie, you don't want to be without a bathroom for long & good news that Mr Freddie is feeling better.

Re: My day

Good morning everyone. I had a very long and gruelling day at Court yesterday and I feel absolutely drained and exhausted today. Even though, it wasn't exactly what I wanted, the Magistrate's ruling was fair. So within the next 27 days, the ex should be out of my life at last. Game over.

My day will be spent doing a bit of housework then I'll be on the couch, watching DVDs.

Re: My day

Popping in - popping out.

You know how I make myself do the housework so that I can give myself the "good girl gift" of going outside?

Well, the same things happens here on the boards.  I go through all the other threads, just so I can give myself the prezzie of opening this one.  And what happens?  I'm out of time to luxuriate in the "niceness"  -  for now.

Re: My day

Peeks into Freddie bathroom and check out the new tiles

Back from the smoke, my trip was not uneventful, I accidently left my purse in some public toilets and didn't know until I went to pay for my items in Aldi. I then remembered I hadn't taken my bag into the toilets just my purse.  Quick trip back to the toilet, no purse, huge search of the car, just in case, no purse.  So I thought I would report it to the police, just in case someone had found and was honest enough to have handed it.  As I was walking towards the police station, a lady was just walking out the door, she walked over to me and asked me if I had lost my purse as she had found it and had  handed it in.  So lovely to know there still some honest people around today, I told her the gods will smile kindly up;on her and I truly believe they will.

Re: My day

Wow Bushy you were lucky the lady was an honest person very rare these days.

I looked in earlier the shower recess and the section from the floor up behind the vanity and the mirror is tiled, the last time I looked he was on his knees on the toilet floor. He's normally gone by this, I'm pleased he's stayed longer to finish off the toilet floor. So tomorrow he will grout today's work and do the floor tiles in the bathroom plus the kickboard. Thursday day off, and Friday he will install the vanity taps and accesories then paint.
