After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

***waves to everyone***
Popping in/popping out.
***wipes brow***
***prepares for nana nap***
Been reading around too much. Done a couple of things. Vacuum cleaner is parked in the middle of the floor as a gentle reminder.
Looked out upon the australiana garden and noticed "Hope" and "Joy" have fallen. Thank goodness "Peace" is still standing. (Referring to my paling signage.)
Back anon.

lol, you're a character Deb.
Made a couple more recipes - new one, white chocolate and macadamia caramel cookies. Haven't tasted them but ..... feel like a rock. Also made an old standby - mars bar slice. Ready to make up my plates and wrap them in cellophane. Have to make a bolognese sauce for tonight first.
We renovated our bathroom 10 years ago when we first moved in. It was mainly royal blue
. It is now mainly white and pink. We had a new shower put in (no frameless ones then) and now I wished we had got them to remove the bath, make the shower bigger and put more cupboards in. Too late now. Wish I had before and after photos. On the blank wall above the bath, I bought one of those stick on wall murals - I like it anyway.
Hope you are all having a pleasant day ....

Bushy, the framless shower screens don't leak if they are installed by people who know what they are doing, oh and a tiler who know's how the recess tiles should run, as Deb said they make the room look bigger. You can also put a seal thingo down both sides of the door, we ordered these for our shower we pick them up on Monday, even though we don't need them now the shower is installed properly.
We ended up going out for the day had a lovely chinese lunch at Port Macquarie, and done some more shopping ![]()

Bushie, the glass frameless screens do not leak if put in properly. An old-style one has just the same chance of leaking (if not put in right) and the seal at the bottom of those old ones tend to get warped over time, leading to leaks.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable day ๐
Re Frameless shower screens, I was only going by what the lady at the glass place told us. I would much prefer a frameless one with an acrylic base and walls, I dont want any tiles, I can't be bothered with the cleaning. I like the look of the frameless ones, I agree they make the bathroom look bigger, the one I want is 900 x 1200 so I think a frameless one would blend it better.
Mr B strung more Xmas lights across the verandah, so I have to wait until it is dark to see see what they look like. He also put the new piece of glass in the sun/family room door. It doesn't look too bad, at least it's at the bottom of the door, so I don't have to look directly at it.
The council trimmed all the blue gums across the road today, it looks much neater and def improves our view which is great. During the week ranger was measuring the height of the grass in the paddocks beside us, so I am assuming they will be slashed fairly soon ready fro summer.

The cake is finished and ready to go tomorrow, but you can have all have a slice with your cuppas tonight, no pushing or shoving please, line up nicely and just cut it evenly! ....
Royal icing and glazed with apricot jam underneath (no marzipan), tons of booze and shredded coconut on top!
Wish I could stay, have to keep going, it's a happy chaos here tonight .... ![]()

PS ... went to the nursery this morning and I now have some treatment for the fuchsia bush, but the horicultural lady wasn't that optimistic about saving it, but we'll try, we'll really try xxx
Night night xx
