My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

lol That pic was taken yesterday 'cause I have just bought a fold down one, I put that one up for sale. It went in 10 mins so apparently they are still popular. Fence is German Shep proof Aps, they have to stay in the bottom yard when the gate up the back is open or when we are out.

Actually, there is an original Hills Hoist in my yard too.  Mechanism regularly oiled now.  When I got here, I had to spray with that beaut stuff.

Re: My day

I use the local FB site, it went for fifty bucks, I would have been happy with twenty  ..... The guy that bought it wants to dig it out so it will sit there until after Xmas, can't say I will miss it, 'cause it blocks my view

The best type. I am more and more moving away from push button electrical things to mechanical things. I have never been one for the latest gadget but really like the old school stuff that works and works and works and will still be working when I am 6 feet under !!!

Like can openers - although I must say modern can openers are not nearly as good as old ones so I have gone back to the Army spoon can opener, firsttime everytime.

Bushie

I hope you water around the base for 2 days before he comes to dig it out, it will be rock hard otherwise LOL

Re: My day

Memories of a washing line.  40 odd years ago.  My 2 kids under 1 year of age.  One in double nappies due to a "clickety hip".

Re: My day

Bushie, a couple of months back I bought an old fashioned plant because it reminded me of my Pa.

It should actually suit your situation.  Mauve flowers most of the year. And would be a good contrast with a golden diosma.

Label:  Polygala x dalmaisiana.  Compact form.
