After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Morning one and all late arrival this morning, i'm very tired must be the time of the year. The Princess had me buy her Christmas cards and stamps weeks ago, yesterday I checked with her to see if she had written them out and got the staff at the home to post them NO so my chore this morning was to get the cards done and posted They will be late arriving but I can't be fussed.

Mr F has left to go buy the veg for christmas dinner. I have everything else all ready to go. I like to cook my pork and turkey christmas eve, so that will need to be done early in the morning being the Princesses B'Day, oh and the trifle  made as well.

After the dishes are done on Christmas day my apron (i don't really wear an apron) will be hung up for a week of rest.

Sandy, no wonder you feel tired you get so much out of you days. I feel sure my tirness has a lot to do with my breast cancer medication, my hands when I wake are like and old granny of 90ty until I get them moving.

Good morning all,

Bright sunny day here - already done my bit of gardening & gave a few a drink.

Growing up we had a copper - & - fabulous double ceement tubs.

My older brother (18mths) & I used to get really excited if we were allowed to have a bath in the tubs.

My memory of the copper - not so hot - my first pet - a blue budgie I was teaching to talk - flew down the flu - love that bit.

My father tried to get him out by dismantling the whole copper - unfortunately it was too late - RIP budgie.

I slept in this morning - still recovering from no sleep at all Saturday night (Freddie, that 18 yo who lost his legs party started humming at 12:30am, they had several all in brawls before the riot at 5am, not a night I would like to repeat).

But I did make it to the shops for the last minute pressie and foodstuff! AND I got some very cheap shelving units for my stock from Repco, I'm now wondering if I should have bought some more for OH for in the garage....hmmmm

I have cooked the Christmas pavs, made the berry sauce and wrapped the last of the gifts.

Now I have to drown the gardens so they will survive until Sunday when we get back from down south.

Looking forward to having a family Christmas, but not looking forward to tomorrow's drive to get there.

Looks like everyone has been very busy with all the last minute preparations!
