After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Boy that rescue dog sounds destructive, how old is he?
on 27-12-2014 06:55 PM
Vet thinks around 3. He has a lovely nature and been terribly abused in the past so has a long way to go. His eyes are now smiling and he actually ran after a thrown toy the other day. He was so scared when a toy was thrown 5 weeks ago so an advancement . I intend to take him to training in the new year designed especially for rescue dogs.

Poor doggy, are you going to keep him or are you just caring for him until he finds a home?

Have adopted him now:) So much work to do and not many that are willing to take on a dog with issues.

Have not been in here for so long - nice to see familiar faces.
Freddie - you definitely should have grabbed that setting - lovely - but as others have said there will be another one for you when the time is right. Glad the Princess liked your new bathroom.
Fairly quiet Christmas here - had a nice boxing day also at my daughter's house. Too much food and have just had a walk around the village in the hope that I wont put on too much weight.
Before we know it it will be New year - the time is flying by.

He will probably turn our to be a very faithful dog after he settles in.
Hello Rosie lovely to see you, if I don't start back walking again soon it's going to be too hard to get started. I've had a big break whilst the reno's were happening now that they are finished (for now) I need to get back into it.
I'm kicking myself over the setting, but yes something else will come along when the time is right. I hope you have settled in and enjoying your new home and environment. We are slowly getting there with the reno's plenty of tears and up's and down's but things work out in the end.

Hi to Rosie!
Hi to everyone else too.
I have had a very full Christmas!
My fitbit had a nervous breakdown so had to get it replaced today, went shopping for new shoes but none in my size of the preferred type, new necklace/pendant today to mark my cancer free years!. A diamond and gold ribbon.
Father in Law is fading a bit but seemed to be quite good this evening, ate his meal and had a bit of a joke with me, however has lost more weight. 😞
Lots of time with family and now home, to discover the norti staffy has chewed a hole in my door stop!!! Fortunately, she hasn't eaten the pellets, judging by the mess.
Last trip she ate a whole room of dollhouse furniture.

OMG Az *waves finger* at the naughty door stop eater.
talk about attention seeking especially after the entire room of furniture
Sorry to hear your FIL isn't doing so well I hope he picks up and starts gaining the weight he lost, it's a worry when they begin to go downhill and there's nothing you can do
Can we have a picture of your lovely necklace? How many years is it Az? I still think about getting the pink ribbon tatt on my inner wrist.

Az what is a fitbit? None of my bits are very fit LOL

lol at your "bits not being fit" rosie .
Two chewing dogs - twinkles, your breed are very intelligent and he/she will get the message one day. Not sure about they staffy - they seem intelligent though. I bought a new pack of flea treatment today (expensive) and also a dog clipper. Molly our cav is losing so much hair that we are going to clip her to about a number 4. We know quite a few people who do this in summer.
We have had a visitor for most of the afternoon and another couple this evening who have just gone home. Love seeing our friends but I am so tired at the moment.
I am excited - we are looking a new ranges tomorrow. When we first bought this unit, it did not have a fan forced oven. A friend gave us a gas one they had in their shed that they had taken out of their unit because they wanted an electric one. I do a lot of cooking and prefer gas and this one had a fan. Anyway, we have decided to get a new, more modern one .
Amber, you really love this swimming. You'll be doing competitions soon! Think of all you have missed over the years.
I am having a break for a couple of days so won't be around. Be good - I'll be back .
