My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

They certainly leave their paw prints on our hearts Helen, our Miss Meggie will be 15 in April. We had a huge cancerous tumour removed from the side of her face last year. It was a hard decision to make 'cause the op could have killed her but the tumour was growing so quickly it would have killed her as well, so it was a 50/50 chance we took which thankfully went Meggie's way. The vet who removed the tumour couldnt guarantee that it wouldn't grow back but so far all is good.

Bushie you have been so lucky.

Sometimes they do not even get over the anaesthetic at that age.

Max has a few aches & pains but has a new lease on life with medication - once a day.

Get DD to do it - don't care if Max doesn't like her.

Losing it a bit mentally - see her walk into a room - stop - think - not sure why I am here look - but then that is not foreign to me - wonder what I am doing most days.

Re: My day

Oh Helen I can relate to the "selective memory" as well lol great that the meds are helping her, lol re geting you DD to "do it"

Yeah the op was a gamble, was so relived when the vet phoned to say she had come though it ok. Mentally she seems fine, just a bit incontinent at times. She is the matriarch still quite capable of putting the sheps in their place lol

Alex (DD) always says - why don't you do it - she doesn't like me when I do - DAH.

That must have been 'the longest day'.

I am in and out so make sure she gets up & moves & goes out.

There is a doggy door - she is now smart enough to just stand there waiting for the human to open it for her. to come back in.

Re: My day

Meggie is pretty good during the day, just have a few probs at night, I let her out a cpl of times during the night to "go"  but  sometimes she doesnt quite make it, aww well what's another dog blanket to wash.

It's getting quite dark outside atm, am thinking more storms are on their way. Thankfully none of our 4 dogs are scared of storms which makes it so much easier when they occur.

Would you be kind enough to just send 1 storm up this way.

My white wine is salivating down the sides of the glass.

But at least the bones work - movement in all of them.

What's another doggy blanket (always think of Linus & his security number) between friends.

My attitude is - she has always been there for me - I ain't leaving her now.
