@bushies.girl wrote:They certainly leave their paw prints on our hearts Helen, our Miss Meggie will be 15 in April. We had a huge cancerous tumour removed from the side of her face last year. It was a hard decision to make 'cause the op could have killed her but the tumour was growing so quickly it would have killed her as well, so it was a 50/50 chance we took which thankfully went Meggie's way. The vet who removed the tumour couldnt guarantee that it wouldn't grow back but so far all is good.
Quite humid here also and have had had heavy rain on and off for most of the day
Bushies we had a mammary tumour removed from our dog, then aged 11. We had to have her pts a month ago as she was struggling with heart problems. The vet did an ultra sound and found 2 tumours around her heart, probably from the original one. She got 4 more good years though.

Aww I am so sorry you have now lost her Katy ๐ Great that the surgery worked though and she was around for a good while longer. It was a hard decision to make but without the op, she wouldnt have lasted 6 months, so we decided to take the chance, which so far has paid off.
Awww Helen, sorry if I have upset you, didnt mean to ๐ .. I love my "babies" to bits

Oh gawd Bushie ....
I don't like arachnids either especially those big hairy 'other planet' types (or at least, I wish they were on another planet) that run around the house trying to chase us out ... *blerk* .. *gag*.
One of my worst experiences was in Halifax at the Museum of Natural Sciences. They had a glass case that had little logs in it with leaves and bits, but there was nothing to be seen. There was just a little sign that said "MARY" and nothing else. So of course, I get right up close to the glass to try to discover what Mary is, and out rushes an enormous Mexican red kneed tarantula.
That caused me to leap backwards straight into a lady holding an umbrella which suddenly bulleted up with a loud pop as she fell backwards, thankfully caught by someone behind her.
OMG .... I had nightmares for months after that, for heaven's sakes, who calls a thing like that "Mary"? .....
Thank heavens it was unable to get out of the glass case of course, but I tell you, I swear it had a collar on!!
