My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

lurker :Went to the garden centre to pick up something and they had virtually no stock.  Very disappointing.

I had that problem too the other day (probably already posted that) Went to Bunnings to get bigger pots for my mint plants and two big, long shelves were empty.. all sizes of the cheaper green pots out of stock. The staff man said the suppliers weren't open due to hol break, so they couldn't get new stock yet.

I bought one in the Reject Shop in town.

I am the opposite to you with 'red' fruits. I really love raspberries, cherries, blood plums, tamarillos, blood oranges, any fruit with red flesh. Dark grapes too. When I eat them I can sort of feel the goodness being absorbed! They are mostly expensive fruits though so can't eat tons of them.

Re: My day

Well that has nothing at all to do with my experience. Different stores, different locations. Smiley Happy

i experienced the same disappointment as lurker.. All set to get started on something but can't buy what was needed.

I don't see it had any connection with what I posted. You repeated what you posted.Smiley Happy

Re: My day

You are reading way too much into a comment I made in reply to Lurkers post about stores being out of stock. The point being stores unable to get new stock/supplies if their suppliers are still closed from the hol break.

Re: My day

It is so hot and humid right now.  So wandering around trying to get a cross flow of air with the fan circulating.

I noticed shelves empty in Coles on Thursday - no milk even.  Sign on fridge said "deliveries should arrive around 2pm".  I was wondering if there is any industrial action going on.

Bunnings store at Tuggerah has just been finally completed major renovations/extension.  There is now a huge outdoor plant section, with plenty of stock.  (Well a bit less now, since i left with a few plants, potting mix.)

I got a new little green/cream freckle-face (I will use it in a terrarium), 1 candy pink coloured Mandevilla, and a dusty pink one too.

Thoroughly watered  all garden beds today.  Lightly trimmed some shrubs, deheaded salvias, etc. Planted out marigolds and 2 new tomato plants, threw some fertilizer around, split up and re-potted some cathedral begonias and billbergias.  Gosh I was busy.

Re: My day

The rain is watering the garden nicely 🙂

Have a German beer garden party coming up. Will be shopping for a dirndl. Never thought that would happen.
