After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

This wet weather!!! The school "bell" has rung in the distance, street lights still on, raining, gusty wind and dark. AND COLD.
Amber you must have a super strong mindset to venture into the water and experience the cold resulting with the pink glow.
Painting is a definite no-no here. And because of that, I've decided to wax some parts of furniture pieces that I'm doing up - the polishing at least is keeping me warm and I can do it indoors with a heater going.
Other than that, nothing much doing here. Oh, the butcherbird has just warbled - I think the ground is too sodden for worms and they are surfacing for the bird's delectation.

I have turned on the heating to help dry the paint here lloyds... and keep my fingers slightly more supple.
Funny about those worms, I have rescued quite few from the concrete path right near the front door ( protected from the rain there) and put them into my pot plants. I figure the water in them drains out better so the worms can still breathe
No butcher birds here (how I miss their calls ) but we have way too many Indian Mynahs.
A couple of Willy Wagtails seem to be managing to hang in against those bullies, and the odd rock dove. And cheeky sparrows! (Though technically they are feral too)

Afternoon all ....
Books breed when you are not looking Amber ...
What a great and broad love you have of music, how nice is that xx Mind you, I'm not into heavy metal myself but can understand how others might be. Mostly, it's jazz and classical for me as well as some middle of the road.
It's going to be a wonderful weekend, managed to get everything finished yesterday but it was way after midnight .. sigh!!
We've decided we're going to revamp the living area a little more by changing to vertical blinds in there as well. That room runs directly through to the music room so it will "flow" through. Out with the drapes ... friends are making noises about whose direction we should send them, so we're more than happy to see them go to a good home ...
Have a good time over the weekend to y'all ... xxx

Heavy metal is quite varied ๐ there's the shouty sort with a lot of crash bang (not that appealing)...then there are songs which have melody, balance and thought-out audible lyrics. Some of the bands have technically awesome musicians too ๐

Have to agree with you Amber-eyed-girl. Some years ago my son introduced me to some tracks from Opeth's Damnation album. I still find it hard to believe Opeth is a heavy metal band.

Good example. Heavy metal with a dash of Radiohead in the melody. Thanks, I really liked it.

They do indeed Amber. Heavy metal music is something I have always had a hard time understanding and listening to, but yes, I have to agree there are some fabulous musicians in amongst them though, so have to give them credit.
