After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Good afternoon everyone. At last, it is finished to near the best of my ability. A few little things I'm not happy with. The first cake was the one they gave me a photo of but they said I could tint it and add some piping. Would have like to put some sprigs of something out from the flowers but the bride didn't want it. They wanted both their initials - she was pleased with the colour and said it suited their rustic theme.

Lovely looking cake!
Yay to Freddie having a toilet. lol
Skwerl, 24 days until he has to have his belongings gone from here. I've been busy trying to locate and pack things that he says are his. There are things that were gifts etc so I am trying to be reasonable with what I keep. Nearly done. Next, I need to get some able bodies to help load stuff onto his trailer. Th estuff in the shed, he can pack himself. So far, he has not done any packing and we are over having to do it for him plus he is whingeing about the unsatisfactory packing that has been done. He had nearly 5 weeks in which to pack but he chose not to do any. All due care has been taken and since its been nearly 5 months since we split up, I have zero sympathy for him. After all that I was put through, I have zero sympathy for him. I never thought that I would end up in refuge accommodation and my dog sent to a safe house, or have to take out an intervention order or need to have Magistrate give a deadline. Very disappointing. I hope that his current "friend" is not as big a fool as I was. Only 24 more sleeps.......
I bought some fresh flowers, scented candles, gorgonzolla cheese, double brie. crackers, corn chips, tzatziki, chickpeas for home-made hommous, chilli chocolate and champagne. We'll probably order in pizza. If its warm enough at night, we'll be able to sit outside. I'm hoping that my friend has a much needed relaxing time. Tomorrow morning, after I vote, I'll do a quick vaccuum and once over in the bathroom.
Tonight, I will be watching DVDs.![]()

Wow clever sandy just beautiful i'm sure the bride will be delighted. You done a great job *claps hands for sandy*.
I have a proper secure toilet with grouted tiles on the floor, I have a bathroom with grouted tiles on the walls and floor. I'm told on Monday he will do the shower screen run the silicon around the bottom of the tiles install the vanity and taps, and by Tuesday morning we can have a shower in our new shower. Then the painting should only take a couple of hours x 2 coats. We unpacked the vanity this afternoon it looks lovely ![]()

The cake looks great, Sandy. I like the piping, gives it a more forma look,l suitable for a wedding cake.

This thread is bringing back memories of things that went wrong when we built a house.![]()
Freddie.. not sure what stage the shower floor is at. If it is in, might be worth throwing some water in there to check the level is right and the water flows freely towards the drain. We had a bad plumber (or whoever installed our shower) and the water just pooled in the bottom of the shower.. it wasn't installed properly. It was taken out and redone at no cost to ourselves...but really couldn't the tradesperson have checked it was right (by testing it with some water) before assembling the whole structure (Glass sides x 2).
It had a pre-made base, not a tiled floor.

A3 our's is a frameless with tile floor no water on it until Tuesday morning the grout was done today so it needs to dry ready for Monday morning when he will silicone around the bottom tiles, ready for our first shower Tuesday morning.

That is a beautiful cake Sandy!
Busy day...rescue dog seems to have settled in well and best friends with my Lexi girl who has missed having a buddy atound. Lovely natured boy but suspect he may have been treated unkindly in the past. Can see how he cowers if a hand is lifted in the air. But he's eager to please and doing well after his snip at the vets yesterday.
Helping my daughter tomorrow collect her bedroom suite....lucky me gets to tow the trailer.

Thank you all for your comments on the cake. The bride likes it - that's the main thing. am3, I think it needed some piping but I did ask first.
Az must be busy helping her family and clearing her own property. Such a terrible storm. Frank rang his mate in Brissie but they are OK.
BC - sounds like you're going to have a great night! I wouldn't mind coming as well
.
At last your bathroom is coming along freddie. Even having a solid toilet is great and the end is near.
Twinkles, glad the dog is settled in already. Your other dog will be happy to have a companion again.
The family has just gone home after having dinner here and at last I can relax.
Goodnight all .... I am off to "my shed" to do some scrapping.
