My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Julia .. no, sorry, didn't post the pictures, decided not to until the whole thing is complete which won't be until early next year.   We have yet to add the 'island' and change the flooring to extra wide tiling .. so still a bit left to do yet xx

Good luck re the pallets Tas, I am sure you will find some from the larger hardware places. I have tried Masters or Bunnings 'cause they ar etoo far away from me, to make the trip viable.

BC What bulbs have your ordered? I love the Springtime with all the pretty bulbs everywhere.

Vicr did you see my post re the Casterton Kelpie Muster? It's Kelpie heaven, cant believe the prices they pay for some the the dogs.

Good morning, I have had some rest from renos and was planning a "finish all the little bits" today but unexpectedly have a sick grandchild .....so ....... looks like not much will happen here.

I do have a small stitching job to do, I was sensible and bought sheer curtaining that was continuous but it still needs the sides stitched. Several people have said "no, it looks fine, just leave it" but I can't!

A visit to the nursing home at some stage when dad arrives to collect little miss............ went yesterday and in his usual manner, my FIL popped into another residents room to visit, to which she strongly objected. Woman Surprised

She told him to "get out you B***"

He turned and said "you are no lady" Woman LOL

I do wonder if people who lose their memory keep their real personality?

I watched something yesterday that links heart disease to dementia.

Sometimes an elderly person who has an injury which entails blood loss and surgery has a change of personality after, due to the blood loss.  It is not commonly known.  There was a market stall holder (in his 60s) who was stabbed, and after he became very abusive to other stall holders.  Might be something similar, because of heart stress.

Bushie, I didn't meet the mock orange until it was a decent sized tree, so I don't know why yours isn't doing so well. Is it time to get it into a bigger pot?

That's about mock orange care. Says they benefit from vigorous pruning.

The one here looks nothing like a dense shrub, it's more like a prickly tree. Wasn't pruned regularly I imagine.

Bushie, I've ordered irises, bluebells and old-fashioned white freesias. I have a mock orange growing amongst the abelia. I just prune them as one bush. I have a very wayward garden.

When I was a kid we had a kelpie/heeler X. She was a little live-wire and would always herd us onto the path, nipping our heels if we strayed. lol

The electrician has come and gone. I now have working power points and the bloody sensor light in the kitchen has been diconnected.

Next on my list will be stuff related to animals. The dog needs to be groomed, the cats need to be vaccinated and the possums need to be evicted from the roof.

"The possums need to be evicted" ๐Ÿ™‚

When we had the fox family move into the "basement flat" the possum tenants in the penthouse weren't happy...very vocal with the complaints!
