After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

My day is one of taking it easy ๐ Appears I must have used a few muscles not often used on Thursday while assisting baby's birth lol My shoulder and shins are a tad tender and I am sporting a rather large bruise on my shin that must have been against the side of the bed on the wooden rail lol
Baby and mum well. Baby's middle name same as mine ๐

we used to go to the Old Canberra Inn when I lived in Lyneham, and the Dickson pub for jazz on a Sunday arvo.
The one I couldn't remember was the blind beggars inn.
The Dickson pub I recall and yes it was the Kingston Hotel! We were not allowed near the Narrabundah one, or the Royal in Queanbeyan, one of my friends was a norti girl and was banned, lol. Loved the Canberra Inn................ we must have drunk a lot of alcohol in a couple of years............

That's were we used to live, with the exception of Rivett.

I was here this morning and thought I had better get out and give my roses a spray with the rose gun, which I just did.
Luckily I realised on my way out that I was holding the spray bottle of Roundup that I bought yesterday and not the rose spray. I would have been devastated. My beautiful pale pink old world rose is in full bud and I've been watching it every day. It's called Gruss an Aachen and this will be it's first summer.

Joono, your rose sounds lovely, would love to see a pic of it when it flowers, so pleased you discovered your almost mistake in time. I have planted quite few of the old style roses, haven't got a clue what colour they are until they flower. A friend bought an old property with over 100 roses growing on it, she is not into roses, so I offered me as many as I wanted as long as she didnt have to dig them out.

I will Bushies girl. I will try to get one before they are all fully bloomed because they are a nodding rose and it's harder to get a good shot when they are completely open. I took this one when I first planted it but that was either in Autumn or early winter and it quickly lost all blooms when I potted it.
You are lucky to get all those roses. I only have three to see how I go or whether I will kill them. This one in a stone planter and a crimson one and a vivid yellow one in the front bed.
