Sheps have a habit of needing to be involved in whatever is happening in their neck of the woods, so they helped with the coffee making LOL Woman LOL

My day

She was having a hissy fit but was nothing compared to what I used to be subjected to  so it was easy to stay calm. Mind you, if she had have been armed with a chain saw.......

The garden is looking good, Bushie. So far, my list of plants that I want to plant in my garden include roses, lilac, hydrangea, more cammelias, rhododrendon and lots of natives for  visiting wildlife. I'll strike cuttings from my lavendars, geraniums and use them to fill up the gaps. I also have lots of violets that I can separate and plant for ground cover. I also will plant more herbs and, depending upon when my veggie beds are ready, I will planting lots of veggies.

Timber measured and marked, some more holes to drill, then, I can put it all together and have a spare bed ready for any overnight guests that I may have. Feeling tired but at least my bug seems to have pretty much gone.

I think my Lily is part shep but she doesn't make coffee.

Wow thats sounds lovely BC, looking forward to seeing pics when it's done. I love natives as well, I have planted them along my front fence to attract the birds and added a large bird bath there as well. Why is it when one job is done in the garden, you find 20 more you still want to do? lol

Freddie thats why they are called "shepherds" lol or atm mine are more like german "shedders" as it's "coat drop" time here atm

My day

Well, I've tiptoed around long enough.  And if I'm awake, everyone else should be.  ***clang***  splash*****click*****kettle's on.

Read back a little,  love your tag Bluecat but not so keen on the cats toilet etiquette but love hearing about your plans for the garden.  A customer cutting wood at Bunnings?  I wonder what their insurance company will say if they hear that.

Bushie has the shortcut sorted out.  Flashie and Freddie doing the waving.  Twinks was a powerhouse yesterday.  And punchie receiving affection from her dad.  Sandy has her icing done.

Amber mentioned earlier on about her cultural gallivanting.  Long time since I was anywhere near some culture.  (Except here of course.)

One of my favourite artists birthday today Toulouse Lautrec.  I have a small print of his work - a few flourishes of a pencil and there's the can can dancer with so much movement!

I had a maiden aunt who had the capacity to introduce me to the arts.  From about the age of 8 a couple of times a year, we went to concerts, opera, exhibitions.

I was about 13 when I was priveleged to listen to Victoria de Los Angeles at the Sydney Town Hall. That was the period I wanted to be an opera singer.

Plenty of plays were attended at the Elizabethan, Independent and Ensemble theatres.  That was the period I wanted to be an actress.

Musical concerts.  That was when I wanted to be part of an orchestra.

Went to the Ballet - that was the period I learnt that I was too tall and too indelicate to be a ballerina.

Memories of going somewhere "special" and being dressed up for the occasion.  Ah, if only............I'd put the effort into something, I could have been famous in the arts.

The best sounds in my opinion from musical instruments, are that of the viola and the oboe.  Anybody else got an Arts "soft spot"?

Quite heavy rain falling here atm, my garden is smiling ๐Ÿ™‚  Yup DEB, the "barricade" is working quite nicely ty  .... Not an "arts" person myself, although I did enjoy the odd play or 2 at the Laycock when I lived on the CC  .....  Mr B is the "refined" member of this household, he  loves his classical music, opera etc.,I love my ear muffs when it is playing lol

Some lovely roses to brighten everyone's day ๐Ÿ™‚
