After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Sounds like you are on the mend Bushie, What a blow missing out on Christmas lunch though!
Big congratulations to you lurker! A new baby is always excellent news
And the princess gave her stamp of approval to everything, Freddie - All must be very good then!
Our day was perfect! The sun shone, it wasnt too hot and a lovely cool breeze. OH had booked parking at the Opera House (I thought it was quite reasonable for the centre of Sydney on Boxing Day) and we caught a water taxi to Watson's Bay, motoring right past many of the yachts that were going in that yacht race
Dinner was just amazing! I have pics, but forgot to bring the cable so I could transfer them to my lappy to post them - I might tease put them up later when I am back home!
Oh, and we got to see the start of the race! No spinnakers, but my goodness they go at a fast clip! Sooooo many boats of all sizes, then about 1/3 of them came back about 20 minutes later The spectator craft get right into the swing of things!
Thanks for the rain report freddie, I was a bit worried about the veggie patch - my climbing beans are just about to flower, and the corn is almost at picking stage. As usual, all the corn comes on all at once - and just when OH (who LOVES fresh corn) is due back to work
Heading back home tomorrow afternoon, I hope all the fellow travellers are as well behaved as they were when I drove down!

Seasons Greetings everyone.
Congratulations Lurker, how exciting for your family.
We had lousy weather on Christmas Day, cloudy, raining most of the day and coolish. Didn't bother us much, but not too good for the holidaymakers.

Good morning everyone.
Lurker, your Christmas sounds wonderful and congratulations on the fantastic news - our Christmas is made all the better by watching the 2 grandies - although the 8yo announced that he knows mum and dad buy the gifts . The little one is only 20 months and loved it all.
Freddie, Frank & I don't bother with gifts these days unless there's something we really want. We tend to buy what we need as we need it.
B3, your day sounds perfect as well. Would have been a great sight to see the yachts set off.
Hope you're feeling better today bushie. At least you don't have to do any cooking . I have had a very nice Christmas food wise but the party is now over - what am I going to do with all this chocolate people have given me??
Amber, you really love your swimming now and new bathers as well.
I am going for a walk as soon as I gather enough energy then nothing planned for today. If I wasn't walking, I would have a pj day.
Waves to everyone else. I hope you all have a nice relaxing day after the rush and hype of Christmas.

Sandy Sounds like a perfect Xmas with your family, it's def now time for relaxing PJ's or not lol
Lurker Congratulations on your news, the timing couldn't have been more perfect, hope all goes well with the pregnancy
Morning Freddie, Amber, Debra, Aps, DEB hope you all have a lovely day today after the Xmas hype
We have been offered a whole pile of 2nd hand pavers which need to be picked up later this morning. I want to completely re vamp the shade house, so the offer couldn't have come a better time. I still feel a tad "wonky" so I think Mr B will be doing the heavy lifting, I will be giving the instructions.
