Amber you are doing so well re your "swimming" congratulations ๐
It's been a wonderful year for roses ( or so the experts tell me ), some of my are still blooming, most have finished, shall miss them when they are finished.
Tas ty re the steps, it was a very fiddilly ( sp ) job, but he got there and I am very proud of what he built, they really do set the house off quite well ( curb appeal lol ) The shade house is is almost there, he finished it today but now I think it needs another shelf, as I filled the one he put up in about 5 mins.
Rosie re building raised bed gardens, there are some great sites on the net which are worth checking out. It depend if you want them to be a feature or just for veggies like i do. NO dig ones are another option to consider as well.
I planted 16 cabbage and more lettuce today, loving the feeling of picking our own veggies, the taste is wonderful, so different to the rubbish in the shops these days.

Great to see you back Bushie!
And I LOVE your steps! They so suit the style of house
Amber, I think you are very brave to be swimming now, I have it on good authority (grandchildren) that the water is cold now!
Hope Freddie and family are OK - we had a dreadful storm here last night ( I was driving back from down south through one looonnnggg storm front) and there are a few trees down etc. No damage at mine, thankfully.
I am so busy now I really don't have time to scratch myself...
Looks like our house here is sold (they are waiting on one final search from the council)... so packing in earnest.
Reno's down south are only about 1/3 finished, looks like we will be moving in before we can get the kitchen renovations done
*sigh*
And I am STILL painting
*double sigh*

I mean, we are at the end of summer.
Normally at the end of summer, the bay has heated up quite a lot, even on not so warm summers like this one.
I was brought up near the beach, I am a diver and a went for quite a few swims in the bay in summer AND winter during military training
- and yes, it is damn cold in mid winter LOL
After 30 years you get a fair idea of what goes on in the bay,
hence my surprise.
I can remember the water being almost "warm" at this time of year in places like Williamstown, Beamaris, Black Rock etc.

And, a good morning from me, too.
I haven't been sleeping well lately, so not much is being done, however, the gardener is coming this afternoon to give me a quote so I had best do another dog poop check before he gets here. But, first, I need to be re-caffeinated.

Just gone afternoon here, so Good Afternoon!
My house roof is being sealed and painted this week, a job that has been a long time coming. I am watching the neighbours house being done as well, looks like they are doing great preparation!
Yes, I checked his insurance, ABN, Lic number and did a search for bad reviews...... nothing..... the worst of having 5 children who have to tell me these things!
Garden work is always there, isn't it? I also pruned some palms and shrubs this morning, now off to the nursing home to deliver some succulents for the volunteers to plant!
