Hi,
Any gardeners about?
I have just purchased my first lemon tree and my husband planted it two weeks ago. It is a mayer dwarf lemon tree and the shrub is looking good except for something seems to be eating it. I sprayed white oil top and bottom of the leaves.
What else do I need to do please?
Thanks in advance.

boris1gary where can I buy bugs? I love ladybirds - do they kill pests in the garden and where can I buy them please?

Once you know what pests you have in the garden and what good insects you have - you will be able to work out what you need. We also planted the B&B seeds in 2 large pots so they can be moved around. They don't only sell Ladybirds they have lacewings and some other stuff as well. Releasing the Ladybirds is fun, I had them crawling up my arms.
That is a great site thank you. Just a question, are they the regular ladybird beetles? They look a bit scary in the close ups, different to the pretty little ones I am used to. I guessed zoomed in they look different?
We never see any here but my parents get a lot in their garden.

They are lovely but if your their food they are probably a little scary. There are lots of different ladybirds. I only grow a handful of veg, our garden is full of natives, Mr Boris is a bit obsessive - my theory on the garden is it's all about balance and once you start using chemicals and poisons they will take out some good creatures and upset the balance. Things happen though that are beyond our control and plants do die but on the whole it seems to work.
