My mother phoned me this morning most upset at what she had been told by one of the other residents in her retirement village.
Days of Our Lives will be taken off air in Australia from Friday 26th.
She has been watching this show for as long as I can remember.

Mother is living in a retirement village but is as sharp as a tack. Definitely no confusion. Myself on the other hand, well that could be a different matter. Especially if my caffeine levels are depleted. Hehe.
I can relate to that grumpy :^O

It sucks doesn't it?
My mum's gone now but she watched from the beginning to 2002. If she had to go out during the day she would make sure that she was home for her "Days Our Life", as she called it.
English was not her first language but for some reason she could understand most of what was going on. When I was a kid on school holidays we would watch it together and she could tell me who was who and what was going on. Later when we got our first VCR I taught her how to record her show, no mean feat considering she couldn't read English.
Memories...
This reminds me of my grandmother. She spoke very little English but she watched DAYS every single day. She could tell me the whole story and everyone's names etc but still had to go to Deli's where the staff could speak her language so she could do her shopping. She loved that show... I think she also watched General Hospital.
