My racist boyfriend ...

So my boyfriend is black.
I am white.

He recently told me he only dates white chucks as black chicks are not attractive. I told him that he shouldn’t think or say things like that because it’s racist.

He insists because he is black it’s nor racist.

I said if you reversed it & a white guy said he didn’t like black chicks would it be racist & he agreed it would but insists as a black man nothing he says can be racist.

It’s really aggravating me.

How can I explain to him his argument is stupid?

If he is attracted to white girls more, it could simply be a matter of taste rather than out of racism.

Sounds more like it's to do with looks more than anything else.

To be racist is to dislike a race of people for no reason other then because they are from that race or to hold a race as being superior to another.

That's what it should be but these days it's anything that can be taken as being derogatory to any other human

being regardless of whatever race they are.

I've known aboriginals that where/are the worst racists that I've ever known,(they use the same reason as the

OP's partner in saying that they can't be racist because they are aboriginals).

Off course it's a completely false statement because what they said/say has pure hate behind it and it's all meant

as a put down on "white" people.

If the reverse was a white man saying it about black "chicks" it would be considered racist.

There are as many attractive black girls as there are white ones.

If he was to deny employing a female due to her skin colour, then that would be racism!


He insists because he is black it’s nor racist.  Just because you say it's racism, doesn't make it racism though....

Just because someone doesn't desire to be in an inter-racial relationship, does not automatically make them racist!

It’s really aggravating me. This says more about you than it does about him...

What you have here is a difference of opinion! It is not a display of racism. If this is aggravating you so much, then I would suggest that this is not the right relationship for you. 
He obviously thinks you're attractive, because he is dating you, I dont know why you cant just be happy with that and accept him as he is.

Although he did ask if I’ve ever considered getting a boob job and I was like ‘dude, I’m an E to F cup. How much larger could I go?’ .... 🤣🤣🤣. Maybe he meant reduction?
