Not happy. For the past few months my recycle bin is moved from the side of the road and placed on the nature strip, no problems as it is moved after being emptied during the day and I come home from work and find it not in the same place.. Today got home and the bin has been moved but it is still full. There is a school across the road and I think due to Easter parade, etc there were many cars visiting in the morning and the bin was moved so they could park. I don't know who moved it as I'm at work through the day. Do you think I should speak to the school or leave a sign on the bin "Please do not move". Sure I'm not the only person to experience this.

Live in semi rural area, no gutters as such. Bins are placed at edge of the road not on the road.
Obviously my bin is in a prime park position. This is only a recent thing having lived here for over 25 years.
hahaha
I know 100% what you are talking about...
my bin goes on the edge of the road.. we have a nature strip and then a green patch on the side of the road that is nearly 2 meters. we put our bin on the edge of that patch.
If I do not bring the bin in soon enough the mower guy has to mow around it and I am left with a small patch of long grass and everyone knows i was lazy and left the bin out too long... :8}

That is confusing. If the bins are not on the road, then drivers can park their car on the road without having to move any bins.
I think tulip means that there is no kerb and guttering, so just grass then road..

On the outskirts of Alice Springs a resident tells locals he is going walkabout.
A couple of weeks later the garbage truck comes down the street
and the driver notices he is home but no bin out.
Knocks on the door and asks--Hey Edwin--where is your wheelie bin.
--Ive wheelie bit in Jail----but dont tell anyone.................................Richo.

debra9275 our garbage truck smashed out lid a while back we called council they told me to leave my bin out on the road and the next day a small truck turned up and replaced the lid, they did not have to take it away so hopefully your council will do the same for you. I was very impressed with the service and efficacy
We have nature strips and curbs all along our road and everyone leaves their bins on the road when we get home the bins are empty and on the road where we left them. I guess it might depend on the council as to where you are supposed to place them for collection.

why not ask the council if would be possible for the collection to be outside the problem parking hours
