They promise

The coalition's plan to deliver earlier and cheaper broadband to Australia has been dismissed as slow and inadequate by the government and IT experts.
RMIT University telecommunications expert and senior lecturer Mike Gregory said the policy wasn't a sensible answer to Australia's communications needs.
"This is the biggest lemon in Australia's history," Dr Gregory told AAP.
"What they are trying to do is offer us a bag of lollies by saying we can do it cheaper and faster, but what we are really being sold is a lemon."
I agree with this article.
have to go to work, be back later

What they aren't telling us is that the householder is going to pay to have it connected to their house about $5.000. Yes it will be cheaper for them but on us pensioners.

NBN
Labor's NBN policy offers the fastest, most expensive broadband (fibre-to-the-premises or FTTP) to 93 per cent of Australians. This involves running fibre all the way to homes, schools and businesses across the country, and offers minimum download speeds of about 100 megabits per second. For the 7 per cent of Australians who live in rural and regional areas, where it would be too costly to run fibre, Labor will use satellites and wireless technology.
93% of Australians have access to internet via fibre
7% of Australians have access via fixed wireless and satellite
Completed 2021
Coalition's Plan
The Coalition's network will mostly use a cheaper technology called fibre-to-the-node (FTTN). Instead of running the fibre all the way to homes, the Coalition will run the fibre to street corners and then piggyback on copper telephone wires the rest of the way to the home.
71% of Australians have access to internet via fibre and existing copper networks
22% of Australians have access via fibre optic networks
75 of Australians have access via fixed wireless and satellite
Completed 2019

you forgot to mention the price differences, in your glee to promote fraudband

If that last post to me, the price differences are in the link. Don't forget Libs is Fibre to Node not Fibre to Premises. Who is going to pay to get it from Node to House?
How much life have the copper wires got left?
I have had a NBN service to my house, since moving house, I expect to be able to get it again in a few months, can't wait.
Senator Conroy, who is expected to release national figures for NBN take up next week, labelled as dumb the Coalition's plan for proposing to use Telstra's ageing copper wire network for broadband.
He said the Coalition's policy was a miserable failure and would mean millions of Australians will not have high-speed internet connections.
''I can't find a dumber piece of public policy than buying the copper off Telstra,'' he said.

turnbull stood there with a straight face and straight out lied to the australian public, tries to baffle everyone wit bulldust about cable pairin', uses other bunches of letters and 'opes that no-one questions his real knowledge about wot they actually mean. abbott most certainly doesn't know
abbott reckons it "will deliver a minimum of 25 megabits a second" turnbull contradicts 'im later to "a minimum of 50" simply cannot 'appen.
those two snake-oil salesmen were prayin' and sweatin', fingers tightly locked together, prayin' and sweatin' that wot they both know to be a furphy, gets believed by gullible voters, who don't know.
