How Netflix and the streaming revolution killed the NBN's dream of super fast broadband on fixed wireless
the problems will increase as it becomes obvious the better faster cheaper turnbull NBN cant deliver speeds required for future technology.

I got NBN few weeks ago and last week I was without working connection and also without my landline from Sunday till Thursday. I did now and then get some email but sending emails out just timed out and no site would fully load. I needed to pay my electricity bill, and bring forward my dog kibble delivery, and could do anything. I am furious, I had to connect to NBN because they are disconnecting the cable connections and the phone wires.
So now I will have to get mobile, which I really did not want to do, as I am pretty much housebound.

i feel we of the 'rather not join the smart phone brigade' are being gradually forced to join.
pretty much as i was the last to stop getting paid in cash, the last to get a credit card ect ect.
i am pretty sure i'll be getting some kind of 'smart' device sooner or later.
i have no idea will i be able to have one thats cheap ans simple when the time comes and will it stay working for year after year without requiring upgrading or some such rubbish.

NBN fix involves a $20 billion write-down of the project that would hurt Morrison Government surplus goal
cant help the poor it would spoil the surplus
cant fix the NBN it would spoil the surplus
so they let the house fall down and starve in order to have more cash in the bank?

"$20 billion write-down of the project"
If that is accurate, I'm going to faint sideways!

We had the NBN installed abiout a month ago.
No phone for a whole 2 hours, and now the info just zips along.
Ta muchly - no problems here.
But I think the difference is, we have always had a cable connection.
None of this ADSL2 rubbish.
