For a single user it costs $8.95 per month (this will have GST added to it later).
I quite like it. It is a month by month account, so if you don't like it you can just cancel it. No contracts.

I love it.
My son has an account which is $11.99 a month but can be shared with 5 users so I have my own section. I'm with iinet so the download doesn't come off our normal quota and it's freezone.
Unless you have the right tv you might need to buy the apple tv thing for around $100, otherwise you can only watch it on your pc etc. I bought apple TV.
I'm currently working my way through How I Met Your Mother and I really enjoyed Dallas Buyers Club. The movie that all the pirates are getting in trouble over. I can't believe how much weight Matthew McConaughey lost for that role. Brilliant acting and movie.
You can do recommendations and reviews and then you have the movies rated as to how much you might like them.

I have netflix (8.99) and my daughter has Amazon prime ($100 per annum.......both of us prefer netflix..........I have a smart TV, so no additional devices are required, she uses a Roku for WiFi...........
There is an awful lot of dreck on both services, but much good stuff also.
