Never Tear Us Apart - Can't Wait!

CHANNEL 7 will kick start the new ratings year with its rocking biopic, INXS Never Tear Us Apart next Sunday night, we can exclusively reveal.

After the ritual pre-ratings dance with TV rival Nine over programming plans, Seven's director of production Brad Lyons confirmed the hotly-anticipated miniseries will air at 8.30pm over the next two blockbuster Sunday nights.

Lyons described the secrecy surrounding this year's scheduling as "more intense than ever'' but was confident the broad appeal of the INXS telemovie - and its script surprises - would ensure a strong ratings return.

"The appeal of INXS, apart from loving the music and being a fan myself, is ... when you drill down into it ... it's a really good underdog story. These guys started in a garage and really did take on the world.

INXS are probably not to everyone's taste, but I like their music as do a few others. -:)


Michael Hutchence had an interesting life, and I enjoyed seeing where the band started. Each to their own though, I'm sure there are other things on to watch . I must remember to record that show Rake that all the girls were talking about earlier in the thread.

I'd rather watch INXS than the cricket lol

watched inxs last night, it was on late

was interesting to see how easy it was for them to produce hits

although i wasnt a huge fan of theirs on the day, i am now

I had to flick through the channels really fast in the hope that OH wouldn't notice it was on

I must say I have found the show disappointing.

Not enough background and not enough music. And no depth.

It just isn't holding my attention cause all it does is go from drug referenced scene to another drug referenced scene.

Well that was the end of that. Of course it went on to Paula Yates destroying herself, and the battle for custody for Tiger Lily, but that's another story.

Must watch next Sunday when they're screening the secrets of Michael Hutchence.

The best bit was the end when they showed real footage.

So I will enjoy next Sunday night too.

the 2nd part I thought,  just didn't have enough depth to it, though basically it showed what happened. there is much much more to that story.

I'm also looking forward to next weeks show
