We've found that promotional emails from Ebay aren't usually in our messages as well, so a message might still be OK even if it's not in Ebay messages.

It probably is safe, as we just got the same for our 2 non-store accounts.

ebay should know better than send out emails like this one, if they have.

the exact type of subject scammers would use.

I got one for each of my three accounts so I assume it's just their daily rubbish they send me - that I rarely read any more.

Yes, I just keep deleting them without reading.  Anything like "reward yourself" or "this is your lucky day" straight into the bin.
