New ID brings back all the old posts

I thought there was something wrong when I saw all these old posts first up then I saw a new ID had spam replied to them all.

Lithium might say they ban IPs, but they obviously don't actually do it. Otherwise, how would so many on CS be using multiple IDs?

I believe it's not really possible to ban an IP due to the easy use of free proxies. I guess the multiple ID people must use proxies...it all seems pretty childish and OCD to me.

They can only impose temporary bans on IPs anyway.....

I guess eBay figures that Sellers do have  protection by having the option of blocking Buyers who have not gone through phone verification.....When it comes to the Discussion Boards, its open to all....

It's probably not worth their effort....after all, if people are childish and OCD enough to play games with multiple IDs just to come to the eBay chat boards (OMG, sad), they'll keep finding ways around it. It epitomises "pathetic" IMO...I always get visions of loneliness in basements or garages.

Yes, hopefully it will make everyone more aware now.  Even though the registration date is displayed,

this    was a more obvious indicator.  They should bring it back.
