Nightmare in Germany

If you think it can't happen here, well it already has. It's a long article but well worth the read to understand just what unwanted mass illegal immigration results in.

Europe was once the exemplar of the good society when seen through the dreamy eyes of Australian sophisticates.

Now, like the images of disease and deformity on cigarette packets, Europe serves as a graphic warning. We must quit our addiction to social engineering before it’s too late.

The European financial crisis of 2008 demonstrated the limits to government spending. This year’s chaos at the borders shows the limits of mass migration. Europe has been eroded of social as well as financial capital.

Anxiety surfaces in many different ways. In Sweden, a woman emailed her prime minister to tell him she had moved out from the suburb in which she was born because it was impossible to walk her dogs “due to the non-Europeans driving on the sidewalks”.

“If you didn’t move out of the way, they would jump out of the car and hit you,” she complained.

In Pocking in Lower Bavaria, the local school recently advised children to wear “restrained everyday clothes” after 200 male asylum-seekers were billeted in the German village. “Transparent tops or blouses, short shorts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings,” it said.

A local politician told Die Welt advice of this kind was “absolutely necessary”.

Funny that the list does not mention the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo during the 1990s, when large % of the Muslim population was forced to leave, and ask for asylum across Europe.  Nor there is mention of the crusades.  The reason why France has such a large Muslim population is because they came from their colonies.  Just as happened in UK.  And now, the Syrians and Iraqis are running away from confict created by USA and allies.  And the world has been more or less ignoring plight of these displaced people  for 5 years.  There are over 500 million people living in EU, another million is nothing, it is only extra 0.2%, they should be able to absorb them.

Be careful whom you invite to our shores, Australia.

Denmark's parliament has passed measures aimed at deterring refugees from seeking asylum, including confiscating valuables to pay for their stay, despite protests from international human rights organisations.

The measures, which also include extending family reunification among refugees from one year to three years, are the latest sign that the Nordic welcome for refugees is waning as large numbers flee war in Africa and Middle East for Europe.

The 'jewellery bill' is the latest attempt by Denmark's minority centre-right government to curb immigration to a country that took in a record 20,000 refugees last year.

Under the bill, refugees can keep possessions amounting to 10,000 Danish crowns ($A2080), raised from 3000 crowns after criticism from human rights organisations. Valuables of special emotional value such as wedding rings will be exempt.

The Liberals Party government has just 34 out of 179 seats in parliament and depends on support of rightist parties, including the anti-immigration Danish People's Party (DF), to pass laws.

During a three-and-a-half-hour debate, dissenting voices from small leftwing parties were heard, but the bill passed with an overwhelming majority, backed by the main centre-left opposition party Social Democrats.

Denmark is not the only Nordic country trying to shut its doors to migrants.

Sweden, which took in over 160,000 refugees last year, the most per capita in Europe, introduced checks on its border to Denmark at the start of the year.

Norway, meanwhile, has been trying to send back refugees who crossed over from Russia. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow would not take them.

Denmark is also not alone in targeting migrants' valuables. Switzerland has started taking valuables from asylum seekers over 1000 Swiss francs ($A1400), and the German state of Baden-Wrttemberg valuables above 350 euros ($A540).

Re: Nightmare in Germany

If people have money I cannot see to much wrong if they pay something like board for their food and accommodation, but confiscating property is theft.  I read it few days ago that the average amount that has been confiscated is in 5 figures. On one hand the fascist propaganda says that the people coming to Europe and uneducated and poor, and now they are stealing their money, which they would be using to establish themselves once they are accepted as genuine refugees.
