Vaughan was a vocal activist against the hazards of vaccines who founded California nonprofit Learn the Risk. On her Facebook page, she described herself as a “former pharmaceutical insider on a mission to create a healthier world one person at a time by educating on the real risks of pharma drugs and vaccines.”

When working in the pharma industry, Brandy sold Vioxx, a painkiller that was found to double the risk of stroke and heart attacks, according to her Learn the Risk bio.

Vale Erin Hitchens

Brian said he and his wife didn't have one firm belief about Covid-19. Instead, they switched between thinking the virus was a hoax, linked to 5G technology, or a real, but mild ailment. They came across these theories on Facebook.

"We thought the government was using it to distract us," Brian explained, "or it was to do with 5G."

But after the couple fell ill with the virus in May, Brian took to Facebook in a viral post to explain that he'd been misled by what he'd seen online about the virus.

"If you have to go out please use wisdom and don't be foolish like I was so the same thing won't happen to you like it happened to me and my wife," he wrote.

Vale Tony Tenpenny

Tenpenny, a Donald Trump supporter, shared a post on May 30 that the virus had been whipped up to try and stop Trump being re-elected on November 3. In June, he share a meme claiming mask wearers had been ‘manipulated to live in irrational fear’ and blasted them for being ‘controlled by a socialist agenda. ‘ Tenpenny continued his ranting posts through July, branding the World Health Organization and US Centers for Disease Control ‘pure lying asses’. He shared outlandish conspiracy theories, including one from a rogue doctor beloved of Donald Trump who linked coronavirus to demons. He also claimed ongoing lockdowns across the United States were about ‘shutting down the US economy, blaming Trump, & setting up a One World Govt.’ Tenpenny continued sharing the posts on his now deactivated Facebook account until August

He fell ill with the virus later that month – days after sharing his final hoax posts – and was hospitalized with Covid later that month. Tenpenny, a married father of one, was placed on a ventilator earlier this month, with his condition continuing to decline until his death in the early hours of Sunday. Paying tribute to Tenpenny, Nashville Mayor John Copper said: ‘I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former councilman Tony Tenpenny. ‘I send my condolences to his wife, Robbie, their son Ira and the rest of the Tenpenny family.’

Diego Maradona dead at 60: From street urchin to the greatest footballer in the world

By Dan Colasimone

Play Video. Duration: 2 minutes 36 secondsDiego Maradona obituary: Argentina soccer legend dies at the age of 60.

He had many nicknames — 'Golden Boy', 'Moptop', 'Cosmic Kite', 'God' — but, ironically, the name which best captured this colourful character and the operatic saga of his life was his real one: Diego Armando Maradona.

Argentina's favourite son and one of world football's greatest ever players died on Wednesday in his home in Buenos Aires from a heart attack, bringing to an end a life overflowing with glory and gross excess.

Maradona was a street urchin from a Buenos Aires slum whose natural genius with a football was complemented by a bloody-minded will to succeed.

That he played football like a God made him a figure of worship all over the world, but particularly in his homeland and in Naples, Italy, where he played at his peak.

While he may have appeared god-like on the pitch, in reality he was just a man — and the adulation gradually crushed him.

Intense pressures on and off the field, and a penchant for the kind of debauchery that can only come when nobody in your world ever tells you 'no', led to years of drug abuse, controversies and bizarre behaviour.

His flaws, writ large by a voracious media, never diminished the love many Argentinians felt for him, especially the poor and underprivileged, who always saw him as their talisman, conquering the world.
