I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Oh woops, I was posting a reply to your post in the original T Shirt thread (Neros) and when I clicked to post it, the message came up telling me I could no longer post in this thread.  So I scrolled up and down and couldn't find Neros thread I was originally trying to reply to you in, but instead saw Poddsters here so I copied and pasted what I'd written into this thread.   Because I actually thought you raised a good point before... Then the next time I looked Neros thread was back...It was a bit weird.

And the rest of my posts in here are actually some back and forth with am3 in regards to the context of the T Shirts slogan.

Australian born people say that, what do you print on a singlet aimed at them?

Exactly the same thing am 😉

Or maybe "If you dont like it then you should be ashamed of yourself" lol

"If you don't love it, leave

Well, no, you can't leave the country, that is, just up and move to another country to live permanently, if you are Aust born and your parents were Aust born as well.

So, the above slogan is racist as it only applies to people in Australia who were not born here.

Well der lol Nobody can just up and leave at any given time without doing the necessary arrangements first.  And it's not really about everyone who doen't like it literally "leaving" like a mass exodus hehe,  It's just a statement, like I'm with stupid >>>> Does it mean that every person that singlet points to is stupid?

Missed the point there.... you can't leave the country to live overseas if you don't have citizenship/born there/ residency rights.

Therefore that singlet slogan is aimed at people not born in Australia therefore it is a racist slogan.

Anyone with dual citizenship can pack a bag get on a plane and go in live in the other country and stay as long as they like.

My comments have nothing to do with singlets with any other type of slogan on them, I am specifically referring to that one above.

Yep I totally missed the point lol.

So now that I have found the point, I'd argue that if you really hated it that much and wanted to go then you could "arrange" at least some time somewhere alse to find out if it is better elsewhere. Because you have to admit, how do you know if somewhere is that bad if you've never been anywhere else to compare it against?

There's no getting through to a racist, there's no reasoning with a racist, a racist is fond of playing the "racist card" at every opportunity, a racist is something we should all ignore.

We are talking about a harmless tee shirt that  the left seem to think is racist, is that reverse racism?

Do we all need a lecture on racism and all its foibles, all the ways racists justify their stance and comments? or do we see through the racists modus operandi.

A thoughtful argument seeing as some on this thread are trying to accuse others of racism.

Do you ever read what you write? That doesn't even make sense.

The slogan on the singlet woolies inadvertently put on their shelves is racist. A fact,  but that doesn't support your accusations that people are being called racists.
