Schapelle Corby's hopes of being granted parole after more than a decade in a Balinese prison have taken a huge leap forward.
Indonesian judicial officials today visited her in her cell in Kerobokan Prison and also inspected the home of her sister Mercedes.
If her parole application is successful, she could be out as early as October 30, unconfirmed reports say.
Do you care?

I care, because I'll have to turn the television off more often, and close my eyes when passing newsagents.
The family has already made millions out of the episode.
Mercedes is home. And her sister will have to live with her if paroled.
Pepe you must one of a handful left in Australia who thinks as you do.

Actually, you might be surprised how many believe her innocent.
As for the millions, I very much doubt there was any profit there, legal fees and so many trips to Bali are not cheap.

The number has reduced by about two-thirds since the beginning. Have we become wiser? or just sick of her behaviour since then.
The family had plenty of doola (not saying where it came from) to take care of legal fees. Air fares are not that high, free accommodation. IMO they have done well so far.

She should be free, there was never any evidence to prove she was anything but innocent and I none of my friends believe she is quilty. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Millions of $$$$? Some proof of that please.

if you can call having a daughter/sister losing the best years of her ife, not to mention her freedom and sanity, being forced to live in a corrupt hellhole over a bag of pot there never was proof was hers doing well then oh yeah, they are doing it extremely well.
and love her or hate her mercedes has lived her life for her sister.

The family certainly gives no indication that they have plenty of money.

I care - I really care - makes me sick
Dodgy evidence aside, as Twinkles said : enoughs enough - she has suffered enough
I believe she is innocent, I believe the dodgy Qantas bag handlers have heaps to answer for....... but no difference, she should be free IMO and I hope that happens very soon ๐

Yes I care. I'll be pleased if she is released.
Innocent or not, she has been locked up for long enough now.

I agree that she has "been locked up" for enough time, compared with other crimes, but she could have been released a long long time ago if she had told the truth. The inverted commas are because she has had many day trips out of jail, so it is not quite as bad as some would think.
