If a person shows fear of, or scoff at, witches and/or goblins, so will their children/ grandchildren.

Assuming witches/goblins are bad is not the right thing to teach either.

It's best to try and control ones fear/derision to avoid sending the wrong message.

I love to help people when I can.  Perhaps you can teach your grandchildren that "scoff" has more than a single definition.
