To run interference, lest I'm obligated to straighten out yet another pretense, confusion, obfuscation ...

Was recently reminded of this fav of mine.

Re: Off Topic Replies

Don't believe that drivel.

Must I really do this again?

I wrote a paper on Joan of Arc in college, that's all I'll say on that, though I'm no expert.

I do know why she was burned at the stake and it wasn't because she was a witch.  It was for so many reasons really.  One of the huge problems they had was how she dressed as a man, another that she presumed to know God's will or God's Grace, that was considered heretical, not to mention how heroic and triumphant she was in so many ways.

It is complicated so much more to her, but she did foil them in so many ways, even though she was a peasant:

Question:

Do you know whether or not you are in God's grace?

Joan:

If I am not, may God put me there, and if I am, may God so keep me. I should be the saddest creature in the world if I knew I were not in His grace.

And one of my favorites:

Joan: (to her inquisitor)

"You say that you are my judge; I do not know if you are: but take good heed not to judge me ill, because you would put yourself in great peril. And I warn you so that if God punish you for it, I shall have done my duty in telling you."

I really, pardon the pun, don't relish the idea of going round in "circles".

Let me put it in a nutshell for you.  Was she burned at the stake:  Yes  Was it because she was a witch:  NO

And surprisingly and coincidentally, St. Joan of Arc is one of Edwige's heroine's too, the Queen of Punk, lol.  No surprise really though.

Re: Off Topic Replies

Yes, I believe the truth, that's what I must do.

And to be clear, it's those places like my friend called, "the primal scream" room.

I wish people didn't have to pay such a price for just speaking their mind, or being perceived as different, and therefore possibly a threat.  Some of the things done by people who would do that can be extremely damaging, meddling.  One must be careful is all I'm saying.  My point I'm getting across.

See this is what happens, I think of things and then out of the blue, comes a silly video I kinda love:

How's that Generalisimo?*  Woman Wink

*to run more interference, all of this is not necessarily to you sin.

I heard you the first time, must you repeat yourself?

Missed some major edit time there.   Smiley Sad

As far as your doppelganger Joan, what part of my four line post didn't you understand?

Also, I am curious what your Jackaroo has to say about St. Joan.  Any thoughts?

I don't require my friends to think exactly as I do, believe as I do.  Neither does he.  Yes, he's Liberal and yes I am very Conservative, but don't believe this either, that:  "never the twain shall meet".

I bolded to help.

Huh????

So you're telling him there is a chance?
