According to the news there are about 100 people missing in the fire area... of course they could be fine with no way of making contact, but how awful for rellies until they can be found 😞

Police say they can now account for most of the 100 people previously believed missing as bushfires continue to ravage southern Tasmanian.

Officers were to resume a grim property-to-property search for bodies this morning, with grave fears that many may have been caught by the blazes.

But it is now believed many residents managed to flee their homes ahead of the fire front – but due to rolling telecommunications blackouts they were unable to contact family members or emergency services to let them know they were safe.

It is now believed that only a small number of residents still remain missing, Nine News reports.

Even so, "a small number" is bad enough 😞
