Oh my! What a difference.

I have been absent from the forums for quite a few weeks now and everything has changed. Unsure if I really like it or not.

I wonder if my Grumpy Cat avatar picture will still be here, and my signature. Woe betide me if I have to figure out how to do it all over again.

This new report feature. Is it any different to what was on here previously? Do people get to see who has reported them?

I like being able to change the type of font used.

The rest, well I shall have to explore further I suppose.

By jingo, there is an edit option.

And my signature is still there. Alas, not my avatar. Will have to rectify that one.

Re: Oh my! What a difference.

I think I've worked out how to go to the last post read.  Every time you've read the threads that interest you, click on the board options and then click "mark all as read" EVERY TIME then the next time you visit, it should take you to the first post you have not marked as read.

Re: Oh my! What a difference.

I don't seem to be needing to do that everytime sandy.  Once I got it going it takes me to the last post read each time, unless there hasn't been something new in which case it's back to the start again.

I do seem to be having a problem with the little + sign to indicate a new post though.  That seems pretty random.

Well there you go lurker - I didn't know about the little cross.  You learn something every day!

Re: Oh my! What a difference.

I don't think that is a cross.  Do you mean a little black arrow on the icon?  That means that you have posted on the thread yourself.

It only goes to the last post read if there has been a new post since you last looked.  Otherwise it doesn't.  You can tell if a thread has new posts because the title is bold and if no one has added to it it's normal font.

I didn't even notice that some thread titles were bolded until I increased the text size to large.

Re: Oh my! What a difference.

threads with new posts have a white splotch on the red or grey thingy.
