Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Hi Bundy, so nice to have you back! Is the daughter still sewing too?
What happened to the Janome?
April...... I have done the borders... but not yet stitched them on. I forgot to applique the eyes and am still to do so... I had a weak moment and was going to use buttons but that might render it unable to be used by under 3's.
What have you been doing?

it had a hissy fit and was skipping stitches so in it went about this time last year to get fixed under warentee

then it came back and my life went bang with the axe murderer so i didnt use it for a while

got it out to do a gift for christmas and the darning plate didnt come back with it more waiting for that
get it all set up again go to thread it and find the bag of bits that i didnt know what they were are all the bits of the auto threader that had been broken while in getting fixed not happy here

so threading it was a pain the needle threads from side on it
only to find the prob i sent it in for isnt fixed
so it was taken back to shop after i did quilt on it for terry for christmas but i wasnt happy how it quilted he cant see what the prob is

shop said well there closed now will send after christmas holidays ok
well she knew i was off over seas so it now was no hurry but then she forgot
it got sent the day i was flying out and 6 weeks later not back grrrrrr

sorry for the scroller

Hiya Bundy, long time no see.

Glad I called in here and saw you.

I've been to embarrassed to come into the thread for a real long time because I haven't been sewing. I did make a lovely cushion cover for my grandie from a panel that was sent to me by a lovely lady here. Thank you lovely lady, you know who you are.
