Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Naughty Karen telling fibs

Wash your mouth out !! Dogs breakfast indeed

Rosie .... I agree .... p'n'p from what I have seen unless someone else has been doing your quilts which I doubt ... I am soooo envious! :-x

Brizzy ... welcome to the world of CRAFT (although a lady once told me what it REALLY stands for .... Can't remember a f*()in thing :^O ) This little old lady that I met in Spotlight one day because I forgot the pattern number I wanted to purchase. She looked like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.

Sorry off track .... Brizzy my mum still has pieces of fabric in her cupboard that has the price tags of pounds and shillings ... LOL ... should sell on eBay as Vintage.

Re: Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Goodness - this was way down the list.

Thought as the Aussie dollar is so good at present it might be fun to go on a fabric shopping spree.

Bought myself some lovely fabric on line - all up just on $150 AUD (including postage ) - nearly $500 if I had bought it here,.

Re: Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Today I made some coasters.:-x for a gift.
Some time ago I was involved in a coaster swap, on a craft forum, we each were allocated a partner and made one for them, from time to time, we made more and swapped.
I have a lovely collection and they are used every day, all are made from fabric, with different shapes, sizes and designs.
