Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Keeli, you are a clever girl, what a beautiful quilt.

I was having trouble getting my raggy quilt fuzzy enough so I gave it to youngest to put through her washer and drier with her jeans, after all that, forgot tio take a pic. No-one ever said I was bright. ROFL

Thanks for the nice comments ladies:)

Lifechange, I have used that one with the all over pics and fussy cut it as PnP said, but I am sure I have seen some with individual pics of realdogs on it at S'light?

I may have also seen some at a shop quite near me. Next I am there I'll have a look.

Yes, it is great, I am about to use it in a quilt I am making. The dogs will be the centre in a square in a square design.

Re: Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

I am doing a survey....once again, I am going to go in the Relay for Life....and fundraising is a big part of the prep.
I thought I would make a quilt and raffle it? One daughter says, either make 2 (boy 1 and girl 1) or a unisex one.
Now, I am not good at unisex....I have to have a picture of the person kind of thing.......so, any thoughts?
What to make, what design? applique or pieced? combination of?
What would you buy a ticket in?
