Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Re: Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

I'ver un out of the light purple with small spots and the pink with large white bubbles....

i have heaps of the russian dolls and quite a lot of the green and deeper pink. A little of the bubble multi coloured stuff..which is supposed to go with the Russian Dolls, but looks odd when separated from them. Altogether there are 7 fabrics. I have a reasonable amount of five..Russian dolls, deep pink, deep green, yellow, and a bit of the Russian doll "bubbles? No pink with white circles, no pale mauve with pastel dots...

Re: Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

LOL Az, I was just singing the praises of this thread elsewhere!

The quilt top is finished, sandwiched and pinned, I'm just struggling with the quilting a bit. I really wanted to do hearts all over it, but it's a bit beyond me, and I'm a bit worried that if it isn't heavily quiilted, because the pieces are so small, it may eventually come apart.

I will persist with the hearts, but think I will fill it in with
stippling. What do you think?

I'm just going to do in the ditch on the borders and maybe diagonal lines as well on the deepest border.
