Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Oh gosh Puddles hubby just read that and said if the poster was offended she/he had obviously never seen a quilter in full flight

He dared suggest that I become quite demented whilst in the throes of quilting LOL

Oh dear Gilly....I am starting to think I may need to conduct a controlled clinical trial....I might actually be onto something here after all!;-)

Wow sounds like I have a lot of catching up to do when you get back!!!

You would be better to stash Mr America in a large crate with air holes...it can get a bit squishy in a suitcase in the cargo hold!:O

Forgot to add, you will have fun doing the bargello quilt. Just keep calm when you see the instructor start tearing your nicely sewn strips apart instead of using the quick un-pick! Do you know what pattern the bargello is? Trip around the World? Lightning Strike? Heart? Something other?

Hi april, thanks:-x

No I don't, I saw a sample and it was kind of zigzaggy???

It uses only 7 different fabrics, one of them being a feature apparently.

The sample I saw waas sort of like a rainbow quilt.

Tearing apart?????? Aaaaaargh!
