Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

They look great Azure....at times pins can be awkward to use and pegs just don't hold. Might have to get a pack myself.

Hmm, I am not happy, might need to start over with this one. I still have to add borders though.

What's wrong with it?

I got a ruler from spotlight 6x24:8} I was gonna snipe that auction and closed the tab at 2 minutes to go because I'm poor.

Why are you unhappy with it?

I had another thought about those wonder clips 🙂 they are going to be great when I make curtains for holding the header stiffening in place when I  mark the pinch pleats....no more getting pricked by pins 🙂

I don't know.....just don't feel happy with it? (My sewing room has lots of those things in baskets?)

I will persist as I only have 2 weeks now to have it ready, so will add some borders and quilt it before I decide.

Oh, I was going to pm you and ask if it was you who got it. I was a bit 😮 at her conditions.....

I guess the short answer is.....I am colour challenged? and also, I keep thinking it looks like a doggy quilt? :8}

I am hanging out for my clips to arrive so I can try them out on my binding.:-)

Shipping was $19.50 if I used paypal or $15 direct deposit. It was a bargain but still a lot of money for me to play for five minutes and quit IYKWIM

I got some cute fabric at spotlight to have a go at making a wristlet to put my credit card and phone and car keys in instead of taking my handbag. That could be somewhat amusing.
