Hi Nova,It's as inaccurate to sterotype the lives and living conditions of people of the past just as it is now imo .Our first home was an 8sq  ,100 yr old weatherboard in need of lots of TLC ...6 of us lived there (was still over 3 times our income at the time) ...our more recent home is a bigger/newer (1950/1960's) old weatherboard ...of about 11 or 12 sq (after we have added to it) .We don't have mains power,water,gas ..even though.the price was right for us at the time it was over 4 times our income at the time we got it).We made some on house no1.Not all of us are now living in mac mansions or expecting to now 

All that aside ...as a women in 2013 ...I say to men out there ....Don't call me Baby
