I'm surprised there's no thread already about this. Is it because it's not an Australian case?

I wonder if the same leniency will apply after the next one.

There are three judges.  I wish we had that here, instead of our flawed jury system.

Im shocked by the verdicts so far.

His time line of events was proven wrong.

Neighbours heard them fighting at the time he says they were asleep,

Who the heck just shoots into their bathroom 4 times without noticing their girlfriend isnt in the bed next to you and thinking that it could be her in the bathroom?

I can kind of understand he wasnt charged with premeditated murder but he should of copped the murder charge. He shot 4 bullets into a bathroom knowing someone was in there. What did he think the result would be.

If he gets manslaughter he may not serve any time

I think you are all being too hard on the poor man.

He obviously thought he had a burglar that was going to steal his soap on a rope. Why if it wasn't for his quick actions (wake up, get out of bed, put your legs on, grab your gun, fail to check on your girlfirend etc)there may have been an epidemic of soap stealing scullduggery, or worse, electric toothbrushnapping

it obviously had nothing to do with the fact

that the bathroom window had no security bars

and the possibility of someone using the ladder that

was left  by contractors that were working there.

obviously he didn't think that.

Did the bathroom window have bars? How high up was it?
