Another gaffe and another insight into his thinking. This is what he told people at a conference yesterday:

“I guess our country owes its existence to a form of foreign investment by the British government in the then unsettled or, um, scarcely-settled, Great South Land,” he said.

His assumption that the country was not settled before the British arrive obliterates millions of years of history of one race that was already here that he seems to have forgotten about.

The findings of the British High Court some years ago agree with you.

It found that the country was illegally settled by untrue claims that it was uninhabited.
