my pet hates in over used words
heading up the top of my list is
journey - chronically overused, think talent shows and fake acceptance speeches
like - current habit seems to be to answer a question using this word at the beginning of the sentence, think talent shows or 2 bit celebs
apropos - habitually used by those who try to sound intelectual or politically savvy
what are words that you feel are overused to the point of cliche, or just plain old tired

I hate it when people say "Jesus Christ" when something goes wrong.
People seem to say "I mean really?" alot these days when they have finished explaining something, thats annoying.
"They say blah, blah, blah" Who is "they" and why should I believe what "they" have said?

I really hate how every car accident/violent incident are considered "shocking" or "horrifying". A car accident where 3 or more people are killed is shocking or horrifying. A traffic incident where some idiot who was speeding and crashed into a tree and only suffered minor injuries isn't shocking or horrifying.
Sports stars that are referred to as "Heroes" when they have done nothing heroic in thier lives.

The word "aye" at the end of every sentence, like its a full stop.Queenslanders, you know who you are lol.
I hate the overused "lol" that i have to use to give a lighthearted tone so that txt doesn't imply that i am sarcastic or rude.
I hate "at the end of the day" ugh went on a date with a dude that said it at the end of every third sentence.Well at the end of the date i went home alone.
I REALLY hate anyone that rings my phone & asks "who's this?" OMG that presses my buttons. Were they raised by wolves?
