Over used words, to the point of teeth grindīng

my pet hates in over used words

heading up the top of my list is

journey - chronically overused, think talent shows and fake acceptance speeches

like - current habit seems to be to answer a question using this word at the beginning of the sentence, think talent shows or 2 bit celebs

apropos - habitually used by those who try to sound intelectual or politically savvy

what are words that you feel are overused to the point of cliche, or just plain old tired

accessible

It just seems patronising for the most part.

"The artwork is accessible"

As opposed to the lifts are accessible from the foyer, that's different

Oops, I'm guilty of using "journey" several times recently. I must be more creative but sadly lacking lately.

"obfuscate" is one that gets confused and is obscure most of the time 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
