PAP smears and mammograms

Having one today and the other on Monday 😐  I know, I know, they are important and essential and we have to do it, but I HATE THEM :_| X-( :_|

How come they have managed to come up with a simple blood test, rather than a digital examination, for prostate cancer but we still have to have the cold metal treatment? ?:| 😞 😉

I had my first pelvic ultrasound this year. It was not pleasant. Not one little bit. When it was over I promised myself I wouldn't go through that again. But it picked up I have a cyst on my ovary. Now my doctor wants me to have another damn pelvic ultrasound. :_|

Ms. Mioux......you will be fine, there is nothing to a pelvic ultrasound, I have had plenty of them.

I have also had cysts on the ovary, always best to get them checked out........:-)

My youngest had her first burst ovarian cyst at 17 😞 ...at 18 she had 5 removed while having her appendix removed. She's had more than her share of pelvic ultrasounds and has never complained of them being uncomfortable.

No, afraid not.  Nowhere convienent anyway.  That is one of the very few disadvantages of living in this beautiful part of the country.

Purple and Twinkles I know I shouldn't complain, because these tests are a blessing.

But mine hurt! Maybe I'm not anatomically built for large probe like apparatuses that scratch and press on tender spots.

As for Mr Grizz .. anyone for crushed nuts?

If it hurts, tell the person doing the examination, if you dont say anything, then they dont know to be extra gentle.

I also had cysts removed from my ovaries as they use to twist and that to is very painful.

Okay, all done and dusted finally! I had to treat myself to a shopping trip after the big squash :^O

That is good! As for discomfort, I used to hate them.... until a couple of years ago I had on e that didn't hurt! at all.  The radiographer said, they should not hurt, tell them .......
