It's really hard to say, Donna, because not all palm oil is considered ethically bad. It might not be the best thing health wise but if it is sourced from sustainable palm oil plantations you are not knocking off the orangutans... I think.
We need better labelling. Instead of using vegetable oil in the ingredients list it should say if it is actually palm oil and whether it is RSPO certified.

Easter egg chocolate has always been poorer quality. I think it's better these days.

it is an ingredient in most of the shop bought east buns also.
i only buy cadbury or lindt easter products, i can't stand that cheap chocolate

Most Easter eggs are compounded chocolate...it is really icky OMO. I only buy eggs made by the "real" chocolate makers....Lindt, Cadbury or Red Tulip.

Coles easter buns are palm oli free...they use canola oil unlike Woolies / Safeway who use palm oil.
Have never found eggs to be compound chocolate myself.....

that's a shame Margo...it's people such as yourself not caring that leads to such horrific life for animals.
