with another day another 30,000+ cases within NSW the pandemic will surely end soon as they run out of the unvaccinated or will Camberra run out of unvaccinated first ? 

Fortunately the South Africans were correct in evaluating Omicron as being highly infectious but relatively mild - almost effectively the fourth vaccine for those fated to contract

I don't think anyone (except maybe Biden) has ever said vaccination will guarantee you don't get covid.

It just makes you less likely to.

Everyone I know who has had covid (and I now personally know 5 very well and vaguely know several others) has been double vaxxed. The good news is almost all have had it mildly, except my brother in law who died, but he had delta.

And the trouble is, even though most people get it mildly, that's not a guarantee either. Far from it. People can still die of it or get gravely ill, so it is still scary for vaccinated people too.

Yes, it is very much a pandemic of the unvaxxed in ICU though, they are overwhelmingly represented. That's still no guarantee that any of us older vaxxed people couldn't end up in hospital with it though. That's the worry.

With all due respect - I don't think President Biden has stated any such thing.

Everyone knows - the vaccinated are less likely to suffer severe effects - that's it - and that totally relies upon any underlying conditions.

The unvaccinated - may suffer the full effects.

Here in NSW - a population of around 8,000,000 - 1 in 35 are positive.

As for the rest of it - what are you actually saying ????

Biden did indeed say that. I saw a very short clip some months ago. His trouble is he isn't good at off the cuff replies to people. He obviously should have said if you are vaccinated you are less likely to get covid but he said 'you won't get covid'. I cringed.

All I was saying is although the unvaxxed are overwehlmingly represented in ICU, doesn't mean the rest of us cannot end up there either.

Not everyone knows or accepts that vaccination leads to less severe effects. I do, but I am not a vaxx conspiracy believer.

President Joe Biden exaggerated when he spoke about the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine during a CNN town hall. "You're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations," Biden said.

It is rare for people who are fully vaccinated to contract COVID-19, but it does happen. 

This was when the vaccines were first introduced - we now know even vaccinated you can catch & pass on Covid.

The vaccines went from - immunity - to prevention - to protection against severe effects.
